Frequently Asked Questions

1.) Where can I buy tickets? Are they available at the door?
Tickets to the Chocolate Lovers' Fling are available online through Brown Paper Tickets. Click on the "get tickets" tab at the top of this page or click here. You will have the option of printing your ticket at home, having Brown Paper Tickets mail you a physical ticket, or being put on the will call list - which will require you to check in the day of the event.

If you prefer to purchase your tickets in person you may obtain them directly from SARSSM's administrative office Monday thru Friday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Please call our administrative line at 207-828-1035 for directions or to make other arrangements. This year's event is fully seated with reserved seating. We will be selling 450 tickets, and do expect the Fling to sell out prior to the day of. Follow us on Facebook for updates on ticket sales.

2.) I'd like to purchase an entire table for my group, how do I do that?
Interested in purchasing an entire table for ten? Please call our administrative office at 207-828-1035 to secure one of the tables we have reserved for groups. You may also purchase a table online at Brown Paper Tickets by selecting seats together before you check out.

3.) What happened to general admission and VIP tickets?
After last year's wildly successful event we are continuing with the one price and seated event. All guests will receive VIP treatment including being escorted to your reserved seat at a beautifully set table, a multi-course chocolate tasting brought to you by our gracious wait staff, beverage service, and expert guidance in chocolate appreciation to inform your judging of the people's choice award.

4.) Are children welcome?
Of course! The Chocolate Lovers' Fling is a family friendly event. Children do require the purchase of a ticket as seating is reserved.

5.) If I can't finish all of my chocolate can I bring it home with me?
Yes, we will have lovely to-go boxes available if you want to continue some of your delightful chocolate consumption at home.

6.) Will we still get to interact with the chocolatiers?
Yes, the chocolatiers are the stars of the show! All chocolatiers will have a beautiful chocolate display in the ballroom that is also part of the competition. Please enjoy their displays and their company - the chocolatiers love being showered with praise from Chocolate Lovers! Additionally, all chocolatiers will introduce their chocolate confection as it is being served in the ballroom.

7.) Will there be chocolate for people with dietary restrictions?
We are very happy to have several chocolate entries this year that meet special dietary needs, including gluten free chocolate, raw chocolate, and vegan chocolate. Other chocolate items will likely contain gluten, dairy, and sugar. Please let your server know of any dietary restrictions.

8.) How can I get involved in the Chocolate Lovers' Fling?
If you are interested in being a Chocolatier, please contact us - we're always looking for new talent to feature. We begin confirming chocolatier participation in January - the sooner you contact us the better. If you would like to volunteer, please visit our Volunteer Page, download the PDF application, and return as instructed. Our volunteer positions fill up quickly, the closer to the beginning of the year you contact us the better.
