6. How do I vote for the People's Choice Award?
There will be People's Choice Award ballots on all the tables, in the event program, and next to the ballot boxes. Make sure you read your program so you know exactly what chocolate entry is your favorite! This is an esteemed award that all the chocolatiers look forward to each year.

There is no limit to the amount of chocolate you can eat AT the event.
8. If I can't finish what's on my plate, can I bring a "to go" container and bring it with me?
No, we're sorry, but NO DOGGIE BAGS OR TO-GO CONTAINERS are allowed. We rely on the generous donations of the chocolatiers and we want to be sure that there is plenty of chocolate available for all the chocolate lovers who attend the event. You will be asked at the door to leave any food containers behind. We will provide you with plates and utensils to enjoy all the chocolate you can eat while you are at the event. Boxes of chocolate will be available for sale in the lobby for you to take home.
9. How can I get involved in the Chocolate Lover's Fling?
The Annual Chocolate Lovers' Fling is traditionally held on the first Sunday in April. We always have plenty of volunteer opportunities for the day of the event, including set-up, cutting chocolate, running chocolate, serving the VIP area, taking tickets, selling raffle tickets, and more. We also have a Planning Committee which begins planning the event starting in September. We welcome new members to join Planning Committee, as long as they have participated as a volunteer for at least one previous year. For more information or to request an application, please contact Marla at marla@sarsonline.org or by calling 828-1035.

12. How can I become a Chocolatier?
To become a Chocolatier, you must make your own chocolate creations in a kitchen licensed by the State of Maine. The most important part of being a Chocolatier means you can showcase what makes you one of Southern Maine's finest confectioners by entering a chocolate creation of your choice in any of the following categories: Brownie, Cake/Torte, Pie/Pastry, Candy/Fudge/Truffle, Cheesecake, Cookie, Mousse, and Specialty. Chocolatiers provide 1,200 pre-cut, bite size pieces of your chocolate delicacy—and we mean tiny bites (imagine 30 pieces on a standard size plate). To learn more about how to become part of the Fling or to request a registration form to become a chocolatier, please contact Charlene Powell at 828-1035 or charlene@sarsonline.org.
